Megan joined our team in July of 2017 after graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University. She brings an unprecedented level of creativity and illustration skills to Shields Design and is the creative genius behind the comic book series Innsmouth. A personal project, she describes her series as, “a horror-comedy Lovecraft parody about a bunch of door-to-door doomsday cultists trying to end the world”.

Our very own Mary Shields and Ali Stevenson sit on the board of Plymouth Cares, a non-profit community organization dedicated to helping people and families in need within the Plymouth area. Plymouth Cares offers all of us a chance to give back this holiday season. Made possible by you and Destination Plymouth, backpacks are filled with school supplies during the summer months to help families in need. Blanket drives, diaper and wipes drives and coat drives are a few of the other donations that bring relief to our community.

Shields Design Studio’s web design clients span a variety of industries. All rely on the designers’ expertise to create visually appealing and user friendly sites. But it takes more than just a pretty page to have a successful website. Tourism sites are unique because they cater to visitors, encouraging them to experience all that the town/city, region or country has to offer. What does it take to build a site like this?

Shields Design’s, Katie Buckell, was lead designer for this creative brochure outlining all of the reasons why you should make it a point to check out the Pointe 1620 Residences On Obery. The brochure sits in a pocket folder, the design reflecting the elegance of the properties themselves.

Over the past few years, Shields has had the pleasure of working with a variety of state agencies including The Massachusetts Environmental Trust, The Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism (MOTT), The Massachusetts Film Office, The Massachusetts Sports Office, The Massachusetts Office of Marine Fisheries and The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife. We recognize that in order for creative to succeed on the state level, it needs to be purposeful, great looking and distinct. It has to address the agency's objectives, stand out and connect with the public.
