Shields Design was awarded the contract to develop and produce branding guidelines for the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife. We worked with agency staff to develop a standardized look and feel for them that is representative of their mission. DFW is responsible for the conservation — 
including restoration, protection, and management — of fish and wildlife resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the public.The initial challenge was to update the agency seal design and color palette while maintaining aspects of the established look. Next, styles were selected for publications, products and digital media which included standardized fonts, colors, name usage and logo applications. We were also asked to update the agency’s existing print publications and to create templates for these to be used by their in-house design services going forward.
